ALAN CID

ACTOR | SINGER | DANCER

Hometown: I’m a Dominican performer born in Brooklyn, NY, and raised in Reading, PA.

Background: One day, I watched the TV show Glee, and my eyes were opened! I decided then and there that’s the life I wanted. I started performing at my high school, leading me to CASA, a performing arts school in Harrisburg, PA. That led to roles in Hair, Fames, and a local production of Spring Awaking. After a year of baking cupcakes, I enrolled at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, recently graduating with a BFA in Musical Theatre. While in Boston, I worked professionally in many regional theater productions, including Mr. Poppers Penguins, The Full Monty, Frog & Toad, and Sweeney Todd.

Philosophy: I see performing and theater as a way to share new experiences and unite people. When I was in Wheelock Family Theatre’s production of A Year with Frog & Toad, our young and adult audiences were so excited to see a live performance. Many said this was their first exposure to the world of theatre. These experiences and connections through people are why I do theater. I love to do what I do!

Interests: I love hanging out with my newly adopted kitten, Ranch, rewatching Smash and Glee, content creation, and playing zombie games!
